These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Nurture mobile application ("the App") developed by Umami Engineering ("we", "us", or "our"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

Using Nurture

Nurture is designed to help parents and caregivers track their child's developmental milestones and discover age-appropriate activities. The App is intended for informational and educational purposes only.

Not Medical Advice

Nurture is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The developmental milestones and activities provided in the App are based on general child development research and are intended as a helpful guide, not a substitute for professional medical advice.

If you have concerns about your child's development, health, or well-being, please consult a qualified healthcare professional. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of information you found in the App.

Your Content

All content you create within the App — including child profiles, milestone records, activity logs, and notes — remains yours. We don't claim any ownership over your data, and as described in our Privacy Policy, we don't have access to it.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations. You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App's systems or networks
• Redistribute, sublicense, or resell the App

Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, content, activities database, and milestone data, is owned by Umami Engineering and protected by intellectual property laws. You may use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes as intended.

Availability and Updates

We strive to keep Nurture available and up to date, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update, modify, or discontinue features at any time. We'll do our best to communicate significant changes through the App.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Umami Engineering shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App. The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Umami Engineering from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll provide notice within the App. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
